Happy 4th of July!

Hello Again Everyone!  Today I would love to share with you a quick and easy 4th of July card:

As you can see, this card uses only one small 4th of July stamp, Creative Impressions stamp E193.  I was trying to figure out how to make this sentiment "pop" and I think I accomplished this!  All it takes are some Creative Impressions 1/4" Glimmer Ribbons In Red and Blue and some  White Primitive Star Brads (90680) along with some patterned paper and you're done!  You could also use the Regular White Star Brads (90295).

I began by layering a piece of 4th of July patterned paper to a red cardstock mat.  I then stamped "Let Freedom Ring" in black on a piece of scrap white cardstock.  I took two pieces of the Blue Glimmer Ribbon and adhered them to either side of the stamped image using roller tape, letting the edges hang over for the time being.  I loved the sparkle they gave to the card!  Then two pieces of the Red Glimmer Ribbon were adhered the same way horizontally over the sentiment.  I added some tape to the back of the matted piece and adhered the ribbon ends to the back,  To finish the design, I used a paper awl to push a small hole in the ribbon where the two colors intersected and inserted a white primitive star brad through the ribbon at the four intersections.

After the brads were inserted I used Scor-tape to adhere the piece to a blue mat and finally to a white card.

This card was so easy that I created multiples to send to friends.

Hope you like this design and will create some yourself.  Let Freedom Ring!

Susan
