On Cupid's Wings

Hello Everyone!  Today I am featuring one last Valentine for you:

This was a really fun card to make and a bit different from the other ones as it has more of a vintage flair.  I used Creative Impressions stamp #V168 and stamped it in black on a piece of white cardstock.  I colored the image in with colored pencils and then added some Burgundy Country Hearts (90330) in two places on the piece.  I adhered the image to a black mat and set it aside.

The card itself was created by cutting off the bottom half of the card front (approx).  I then added a piece of patterned paper to the inside of the card which was matted to a black piece.  For the top front of the card, I ran a strip of white cardstock through one of my embossing folders, blended lightly some soft pink ink to the top of the embossing, cut it down to fit the top front of the card and added a black mat to this piece as well.

To finish the card, I wrapped a piece of our beautiful 3/4" Crepe Ribbon Dusty Rose Ribbon (70126) around the bottom portion of the card front and tied a bow towards the left side.  I placed foam tape onto the top portion only of my previously set aside image and adhered it so that the entire image is on the front of the card.

To finish, I created another small panel for the card inside which is hidden beneath the Cupid image.

I stamped Happy Valentine's Day in black (D175) so that it will show up when the card is opened.  That's it!  Not difficult, but it looks like you went to a lot of work!

Happy Valentine's Day from all of us at Creative Impressions!

Friends are Special treasure of the Heart!

Hello Everyone!  Continuing with our Valentine Theme, I would like to share a super easy Valentine card perfect for sending to your friends:

For this card, I cut a strip of white cardstock and matted it with a black piece.  I stamped the sentiment (Y220 Friendship Innies and Outies) in black onto the right side of the white cardstock strip and then used our Soft Pink Mini Rickrack (70762) to adhere to the top and bottom of the strip panel to add some texture and interest.  Once the ends were wrapped around the back of the panel, I adhered the panel to a patterned paper panel which was previously adhered to a black mat and then to a white card.

To finish I adhered one of our lovely Pink Felt Hearts (63130) to the left of the center panel (with a Pink heart brad previously attached to the center) and the card was finished.  Easy peasy!

Now it's your turn!  Have fun making this friendship card!

Sending Love Your Way

Hello Everyone:  Today I would like to show you another Valentine's Day card:

This card features a background I made myself which is very easy to do.  I used a heart stamp from Creative Impressions set M147 Love Puts and stamped it in red multiple times.  looks hard?  It isn't.  just take a white cardstock panel, stamp the hearts close together (if you look closely you will see they are not perfectly aligned) across the first row.  Then stamp the heart upside down so that the point sort of fits between the hearts of the previous row.  The third row consists of the hearts upright and close together again.  You continue in this way until the panel is finished.  It only took me about 10 minutes to do.  That way you never have to worry about finding the right patterned paper!

I cut a strip from white cardstock and placed it on a black scrap cut slightly larger for a mat.  I then wrapped a piece of our White with Red Hearts Ribbon (80126) around the mat, ending with a knot in the center.  Using foam tape, I adhered "Sending love your way" which was stamped on another white scrap over the ribbon onto the left side of the white strip.

Finally I stamped Creative  Impressions stamps (mounted on wood) M396 in black onto a white scrap, cut it out,  punched a small hole at the top of the tag and  adhered it to the previous ribbon using our Thin Jute Twine in Red (80615).

Wasn't that easy to do?  That's the idea so that you can make multiple cards in no time flat to send to your friends and loved ones!

Enjoy!

I Wish you Love

Hello Everyone!  It's time to turn our focus from Winter to Valentine's Day and share some lovely Valentines with all of you.  Here is the first one:

If you have been following regularly, you might remember that I have used this tree quite a bit from Creative Impressions Stamp Set #594 Nurture You.  This is the set:

I created several Halloween cards using the tree "bare"

and one using the leaves on the tree:

For the Valentine card I used the small hearts included with the set and stamped them along the tree branches.  I then added Red Medium Heart Brads (90313) around the tree as well.  I stamped "I wish you love" on a piece of white scrap cardstock, cut it out along the curve and adhered it to a piece of red scrap, cutting it along the curve to make a mat as well.  This piece was then adhered to the base of the tree.

One of my favorite ribbons is our 1/4" Glimmer ribbon.  It adds a bit of fun to any card.  I used Red (70250) and placed it along the base of the card.  Another thing I like to do is double the ribbon by using a narrower one over the top of a wider one.  I used a piece of our Red/White Bakers Twine (80700).  This panel was adhered to a patterned paper panel and finally to a white card.

I love this versatile card as it can be used for friends or someone special.  After all, who doesn't need a little love in their lives!

All the best

Let it Snow!

Hello Everyone:  Let it Snow!  We would like to continue with our Winter and Snow theme, so here is another card I would like to share with you:

Our company is located in beautiful Colorado, where it snows regularly in the Winter.  We could complain about it or decide to enjoy its beauty, so that's what we try to do.  It really can be beautiful, as long as you don't have to drive a ways in it!

I created this card to celebrate Winter.  It was super easy to make, so I think I will be sending it out to various friends.  I used Creative Impressions Polymer Stamp Set TT216 Winter Sentiments - this set includes all of the stamps seen here and more!

I began by embossing a white card panel with my "Dot" themed embossing folder.  Then I stamped the snowman, skater and ice skates on white cardstock scraps with black ink.  I stamped the "Snow Fun" and "Warm Winter Wishes" tag stamps onto white scraps as well, using light blue ink..  Cut out and set aside.

I laid out my separate pieces on my embossed background until I was happy with the arrangement,  Before adhering the black stamped image, I backed each one with a similar color cardstock to the blue ink.  I then adhered them to the card.  The "tag" images were adhered above and under the Skater image.

I stamped "Let it Snow" directly onto my embossed piece with black ink.  Finally, I stamped the small snowflake randomly onto the card using blue ink once again.  I added a small bow made using 80602 Navy Thin Jute Twine to the top of each tag and I was done!  Easy peasy!

Hope you like my card and get into the "Snow Fun" spirit of Winter.
