Thank Heaven for Little Boys!

 Hello Everyone:  I have a darling baby boy card to share with you today courtesy of Jan Francis!

I love Jan's folded square with the circle and elephant inside!  Jan created the folded square from patterned paper first.  She then stamped a black circle on a piece of scrap white cardstock from our CI stamp set Y209 Sweet Thing.  She punched this piece out using a circle punch and adhered it to a slightly larger black scalloped circle.    The elephant from the same set was also stamped on a scrap piece of white cardstock, colored and cut out.  This was adhered to the center of the circle with foam tape.  Using foam tape again, the entire circle was then adhered to the center of the folded square.

Jan adhered this square to a piece of black polka dot patterned paper and the entire piece was adhered to a larger patterned paper piece layered to the top of a yellow card.  "Thanks Heaven for little boys" (TT255 Baby Innies and Outies) was stamped with black ink toward the bottom of the card.  To finish, Jan used some of our fabulous buttons (51019 and 51011) and adhered them randomly to the right of the card.  Wonderful way to finish the card!

Christmas In July Scrapbook Page

Hello Everyone:  Its time for Christmas in July!   Today I have a wonderful scrapbook page to share with you:

When we work on our pages, we tend to do them year round - the season of the year really doesn't matter! Sometimes when we get around to scrapbooking Christmas or Winter photos, it usually is July anyway, isn't it?  Here are some close ups of this page so that you can see more detail:

I love the combination of stitching, buttons, ribbons and journaling.  I hope you will go to your stash of Creative Impressions stamps, ribbon and embellishments to create a similar page yourself!

A beautiful "Happy Anniversary" card from Jan Francis!

 Hello Everyone:  Jan has been hard at work creating some gorgeous samples for Creative Impressions!  Here is one of our favorites:

I love this set from Creative Impressions (Y402 Floral Anniversary Cards)!  Jan cleverly uses sentiments to create backgrounds and this one does not disappoint!  Just use a light color ink to stamp the sentiment 4 or 5 times and  your background in done.  Then it's easy to stamp the beautiful lilacs over the top of the background.  By embossing "Happy Anniversary" in black over the design, it allows your main sentiment to really "pop".  Of course adding a lovely Heart Bling 50535 at the end of "Happy Birthday" adds a wonderful touch for the Anniversary couple.

To finish this wonderful card, Jan used our fabulous Silver Sequin Velvet ribbon (70483) in a complimentary color to finish off the card front.  She then adhered the entire panel to a folded card, using a piece of cardboard to give the card front dimension.
