Friends are the Best!

Hello Everyone!  Today I have a friendship card that I would like to share with you:

What would we do without special friends in our lives?  I wanted to create a card with a "Summer" feel this time.   I used Creative Impressions "Forever Friends rubber stamp and the "Always Friends" tag from our polymer set #M107.

To begin, I chose a piece of patterned paper with some "summery" colors and picked up the colors in the paper with stamps and embellishments. and mounted it to a piece of dar aqua card stock.   I stamped "forever friends" on a piece of green scrap card stock and mounted it with a piece of aqua card stock.  I also stamped the tag using aqua ink on a scrap of white cardstock and cut it out.

Now to assemble the card.  I wrapped a piece of our 1/2" Dot Ribbon ( 70427) in Lime Green around the patterned paper panel.  I then adhered the Friends Always tag to which I added a pice of cream grosgrain ribbon to the panel using foam tape and then added orever friends to the panel with foam tape over the top.  Next to these two pieces I added a light blue blossom (Med Sheer Blossoms in Pastel (60601) with a Sm Felt Blossom in White (Pastel 62001) and finally an Aqua Mini Round (Tropical 90194) to hold the blossom together.

To finish, this panel was adhered to another patterned paper panel in similar colors and finally to a white card.

Here's to our friends!

Happy 4th of July!

Hello Again Everyone!  Today I would love to share with you a quick and easy 4th of July card:

As you can see, this card uses only one small 4th of July stamp, Creative Impressions stamp E193.  I was trying to figure out how to make this sentiment "pop" and I think I accomplished this!  All it takes are some Creative Impressions 1/4" Glimmer Ribbons In Red and Blue and some  White Primitive Star Brads (90680) along with some patterned paper and you're done!  You could also use the Regular White Star Brads (90295).

I began by layering a piece of 4th of July patterned paper to a red cardstock mat.  I then stamped "Let Freedom Ring" in black on a piece of scrap white cardstock.  I took two pieces of the Blue Glimmer Ribbon and adhered them to either side of the stamped image using roller tape, letting the edges hang over for the time being.  I loved the sparkle they gave to the card!  Then two pieces of the Red Glimmer Ribbon were adhered the same way horizontally over the sentiment.  I added some tape to the back of the matted piece and adhered the ribbon ends to the back,  To finish the design, I used a paper awl to push a small hole in the ribbon where the two colors intersected and inserted a white primitive star brad through the ribbon at the four intersections.

After the brads were inserted I used Scor-tape to adhere the piece to a blue mat and finally to a white card.

This card was so easy that I created multiples to send to friends.

Hope you like this design and will create some yourself.  Let Freedom Ring!

Happy Father's Day!

We sure have a treat for you today as Jan created some gorgeous cards to share with you! Today, I would like to share her terrific card for Father's Day or any day of the year:

This is such a clever card!  I love the "lacing" that Jan created - it makes the card so incredibly unique.  Here is a close up of the lacing using our Ivory Thin Twine (80606) and Creative Impressions stamped sentiment from Set YCC201 Floral Birthday Cards (one of my favorites by the way!)   She also used our Matte Heritage Rounds (90679).

Did you notice that Jan used two different colors to stamp the sentiment?  Love it!

Now it's your turn!  If you need a masculine card for any occasion, this one has you covered!

Happy Father's Day from all of us at Creative Impressions!
