Easter Decor with Creative Impressions!

Easter is almost here!  If you are like me, you are wondering how you will decorate your table for Easter Brunch.  Well, it certainly couldn't be any easier with Creative Impressions embellishments!  Here are some ideas that I came up with:

First off, I am a big believer in recycling!  So...I always have quite the supply of canning jars as I use them for everything, not just canning!  With Easter almost here, why not  pull them out and use them as table decor with Easter candy inside!  Here is a close-up for the "Easter" jars:

Hopefully you can see that I put an Easter bunny chocolate in each one of the jars along with some chocolate eggs!  They HAVE to be chocolate, right?  I then found some white lids I had for them (you could use the regular lids too) and wrapped Creative Impressions Gingham ribbon around the lids of the smaller jars.  The center jar has the beautiful 1/2" Dot Ribbon wrapped around it.  I also took the bunny out of its box, wrapped it in plastic wrap and then tied a bow around its neck using the 1/2" Dot ribbon as well.

The matching "medallions" were super easy to make.  Find a large paper punch for the large jar and a smaller one for the others.  Punch two circles out of scrap card stock for each jar. Then cut lengths of ribbon to glue behind the first card stock circle.  You will cut single strips for the small ones (about three) and larger ones of the big jar.  Glue the Gingham ribbon strips to the back of the small circles, making sure that the ribbon is long enough to be seen on either side of the circle.  With the large medallion, you will cut two larger circles and longer strips that can be folded in half to make "bows" behind the card stock circle.  Now cut two longer strips of ribbon for the "tails" handing down from the bottom.  To finish, grab your Creative Impressions Felt, Shimmer and Mylar Blossoms and create flowers to place in the center of your medallion.  Don't forget to add a Butterfly Bling or Large Paper Fastener to the flower centers!  Adhere the second circle to the back to cover the ribbons and you're done!

Everyone at your Easter table needs a place card, right?  While mine cupcake here is fake, create some darling place card holders using cupcakes, etc. by creating a flower place card holder with a Mylar Blossom, Metallic Flower Clip and Mylar leaf held together with a Large Paper Fastener.  Adhere to a toothpick and insert into your cupcake, etc.  It is easy to write the person's name and attach to the clip!

Now everyone needs an Easter card as well!  Here are two examples of super easy cards using Creative Impressions Easter Egg Felt Shapes, 3/4" Crepe Ribbon and some small Felt Blossoms.

I created these two cards using paper scraps.  The one on the left uses three Pastel Egg Felt Shapes that I backed with some scrap patterned paper like this:

I cut out the egg shapes. arranged them to fit inside my basket (an old stamp I had), adhered foam tape around the basket so that everything would be at the same height and adhered to my stamped basket.

To finish the card I adhered the basket of eggs to my patterned paper background, die cut some grass from a Memory box die and adhered it over the top using foam tape and finally added an Easter greeting and some card stock layers.  I cut the bow part of the stamp away and added the perfect pink Crepe Ribbon bow and it was done!

For the second card I used two of the brighter color Felt Easter Egg Shapes and hid them behind some Memory Box grass.  I used the same sentiment on the card.  The final touch was adding some darling Small Felt Blossoms and paper Fasteners to the grass around the eggs.  Easy and beautiful cards!

Are you ready to decorate your table?  Pull out those Creative Embellishments and Ribbons, create some cards and table decorations and "wow" your guests!  It's not too late to order them if you don't have them!

Happy Easter to everyone!
