Floral Easter Wishes

Hello Everyone!  Today I have another cute Easter card from Chari Hogsett to share with you!

This card features Creative Impressions' darling Wood Mounted  Happy Easter Vase M423.  Chari stamped the vase on a piece of yellow cardstock with black ink.  She then mounted the piece to a black mat and added a medium size flower from Creative Impressions Bright Flower Bling 50530.  (This set features 48 floral pieces of bling in different sizes)  She then set this piece aside.

A darling piece of patterned paper was adhered to a black mat and then a white card.  Chari then used a piece of our White Jumbo Rick Rack 70850,  adhering it to the left side of the card.  Tip - Adhesives that dry clear are perfect for using on the edge of the Rick Rack so that it doesn't fray.  To finish, Chari added some small flowers from the Bright Flower Bling set in various colors to the Rick Rack.

All that was left to do was adhere the stamped vase piece to the front of the card.  Easy and cute!

Enjoy!

Easter Wishes

Hello Everyone:  The next few weeks we will have the pleasure of sharing some Easter cards with all of you made by Chari Hogsett.  Here is the first!

Chari used stamps from Creative Impressions set number Y562.  She first stamped the cross on a scrap of lavender cardstock and cut it out, then adhering it to a piece of black cardstock, cutting it into a slightly larger mat.  A piece of Lavender 1/4" Glimmer Ribbon 70256 was draped over the cross and the piece was set aside.

"Easter Wishes" was also stamped on a scrap  piece of lavender and matted with a slightly larger piece of black.  A small Lavender Felt Flower from Small Felt Blossoms and Leaves Pastel (62001) was created with a White Mini Round (90111) and adhered to the lower left side of the sentiment.  A small White Paper Fastener from our Pastel set (90667) was then adhered to the top right side of the sentiment.  Using small wire cutters, the prongs were cut off of a purple Mini Round (90192) and it was adhered to the center of the metal flower brad.  This piece was then adhered towards the bottom of the cross.

Chari used a darling heavy weight patterned paper for the card and then adhered a piece of metallic mesh from her stash over the top.  The cross was then adhered over the top of the mesh.

Beautiful card!  Thanks for sharing, Chari!

Green Beer Time!

Hello Everyone:  St. Patrick's Day is almost here.  I have created a "Green Beer" card in honor of the day!

My son's birthday is also on St. Patrick's Day.  I tried to hold off as I was terrified of him drinking green beer on St. Patrick's Day, especially since his dad and family are from Chicago where they dye the river green.  Well, he has turned out to be a wonderful young man, so I didn't have to worry....much!

I began by stamping the beer glass from Creative Impressions set  YCC235 Delightful Drinks - Beer onto a piece of scrap white cardstock..  Then I chose a greeting from the set to stamp inside the glass.  There are lots to choose from!  I then colored the "beer" green and put Glossy Accents over the top so that it would look more like a glass.  Once dry the beer glass was cut out and affixed to a piece of white cardstock matted with a piece of green cardstock.  This was then set aside.

I created my own background by stamping one of the shamrocks from Creative Impression's set M125 St. Patty's Day.   I stamped it randomly on a piece of white cardstock and colored in the shamrocks with a green marker.  This piece was adhered to a green mat.  I wrapped some green with white dot Organdy Ribbon (70368) on the left side of the mat before adhering the entire piece to a white card.

To finish, I stamped the St. Patrick's Day sentiment on a piece of white scrap, layered it with a green mat and adhered it over the ribbon.  The beer image previously adhered to the small white and green panel was also adhered over the background panel.  Done!

Hope you have a fun and safe St. Patrick's Day.  Don't drink too much green beer!

Top o' the Mornin' to you!

Hello Everyone:  Today I would like to share with you a little different kid of St. Patty's Day card:

This is my take on a leprechaun card.  What do you think?  I created a "belt" and "buckle" with the "Happy St. Patrick's Day" sentiment in the middle and our Shamrock Ribbon behind it.  Every leprechaun needs a Bowler Hat with a shamrock on it, so I went to our "For Him" Stamp set (Y404) and stamped the hat from the set onto a piece of scrap white cardstock and cut it out.  I then adhered the hat to the corner of the buckle.

To finish the card, I stamped the "May your blessings..." sentiment from our set M125 St. Patty's Day                           on a piece of scrap cardstock and matted it with a black mat and then a gold metallic mat that matches the belt buckle.  This entire panel was adhered to a black mat and finally a white card.

Sure was easy, wasn't it?  Now it's your turn!

Enjoy!
