Lost and Found - Three Panel Cards!

I am a bit behind posting this week!  So sorry!

I think you will enjoy my latest post.  A dear friend gave me some ready-made 3-panel cards awhile ago and I set them aside, (and lost them) thinking that I would get to them later.  I pulled them out recently while cleaning up my studio (found) and purposely left them on my desk, knowing that seeing them on a regular basis would hopefully inspire me to create something with them.  I am pretty happy with what I came up with!  Here they are:

As you can see they all turned out quite different!  I used two Navy Blue 3-panel cards and 1 Burgundy.  As you can see, the recurring theme is floral as I used Creative Impressions Blossoms on all the cards.

This first card was the simplest.  I looked through my stash of patterned paper pieces leftover from other projects and found this old paper that coordinated quite well.

I traced the center square from the 3-panel card and cut the center of the paper piece slightly larger.  Then I adhered a piece of dark blue card stock behind the opening.  I made a flower using Creative Impressions Heritage Felt Blossoms and a small Heritage Round Brad and attached it to the blue card stock.  To finish, I adhered the right panel to the center panel, covering the brad in the process.

Stamp your sentiment below the opening and you have a lovely card!  Easy!

Here is the second card I made:

For this card, I used a yellow piece of card stock on the back of the center opening, created a flower using Creative Impressions Shimmer and Iridescent Blossoms and a Glitter Brad and closed the card in the same way as the first one.  I decided to use Creative Impressions Web Ribbon in Natural, cutting the ribbon in half for use on each side of the card front.  I loved the look, but felt something was missing, so I added some Celery Organdy Bow Cord over the top of the Web Ribbon on both sides!  Now the look is complete!

Add the sentiment and you have a striking card!

Now for the last card:

This one took a bit longer to make than the other two, but I thought it was worth it!

I added more to this card.  I started with  a Creative Impressions Felt Leaf and added Iridescent and Shimmer Blossoms in the center.  I adhered the Blossom to a Yellow Card stock panel in the same way.  Then I adhered some Olive Leafy Vine to the right side of the card and used some of the small Iridescent Blossoms along the vine, finishing the centers with Soft and Bright Flower Assortment                    Brads.

Creative Impressions Double Stitched Ribbon was used on the bottom and Right sides of the card with a piece of Green Twine in the center of the ribbon.  The ends were adhered to the back of the center panel.

Now comes Truth time - I made a mistake and had poked several holes under Thinking of You and wasn't happy with the look.  I took A Creative Impressions Felt Leaf and folded down one of the three leaves, added a  small blossom to the center and adhered it over the mistake!  Happy accident!

Again the right panel was adhered over the center one, covering all the brad prongs in the back.

Hope you like these three Lost and Found cards!  Don't have any 3-panel cards?  Use a 12 x 12 inch piece of card stock and divide by three!  Your card will be a bit narrower, but just as appealing!

Enjoy!
Susan
