We have a fun card to share with you from our archives, but with a new twist!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0eb-8LnaAJdqTdfqz0GY5kArSmyVjC4v5YPD_4VVRgjb30OIdrYYVV1zKVYoKAem-QhEo6gpULWxrIlT2S2xkvGO3iiQmjedhDYXqT0QEOPrYoPSlid2JsboQ0GwwMhsSHs4GzQutpP6egsnn7t5MUOm_eux0OI4HVYdPJsHqjw6oXW7aTNNerNmUsgo/s4032/79291036-B756-4977-A3E5-9C579AD138E1_1_201_a.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0eb-8LnaAJdqTdfqz0GY5kArSmyVjC4v5YPD_4VVRgjb30OIdrYYVV1zKVYoKAem-QhEo6gpULWxrIlT2S2xkvGO3iiQmjedhDYXqT0QEOPrYoPSlid2JsboQ0GwwMhsSHs4GzQutpP6egsnn7t5MUOm_eux0OI4HVYdPJsHqjw6oXW7aTNNerNmUsgo/w400-h300/79291036-B756-4977-A3E5-9C579AD138E1_1_201_a.heic" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>The creator of this card originally used pieces of our 1/4" Organdy Ribbon in 70633 Lime and wrapped them around a strip of scrap cardstock to create the appearance of grass. Wasn't this clever? She added some Bright Circle Bling 50500 to the right of the strip before adhering it all to the bottom of a previously dry embossed card mat. She then chose two of our Felt Easter eggs 63125 and cut paper scraps to add behind them to add more color peeking through the openings in the felt eggs. They were then adhered to the embossed card panel and the panel was adhered to a white card.</p><p>The new twist is the addition of die cut grass to the card. The die is now available from Creative Impressions.</p><p>Happy Easter from all of us at Creative Impressions!</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan</p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-56564989586349661402024-03-19T08:00:00.000-07:002024-03-19T08:00:00.242-07:00You Are Amazing!<p>Hello Everyone: I know everyone is really looking forward to Spring now, especially those of us in Colorado who were just dumped on by LOTS of snow! We love how Jan made a slimline card using a sweet paper she had on hand and added our felt flowers in such an interesting way!<p></p><p>First, Jan added yellow ink to the white spaces around the flowers, She then added purple felt flowers (LG. Felt Blossoms Pastel 62201 and Medium Felt Blossoms Bright 62103) in the centers of the flowers and attached then using yellow brads (Tropical Rounds 90672 and Bright Mini Rounds 90198). Once this was accomplished, she adhered the panel to a black panel. then to a purple one and finally to a yellow card.</p><p>To finish, "Have an Amazing Day" was stamped on a piece of white scrap, trimmed down and adhered to a piece of yellow cardstock cut in a banner shape at the end. So simple and effective!</p><p>Thank you Jan for sharing your work with us!</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan</p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-55507703411998108772024-03-12T08:00:00.000-07:002024-03-14T09:46:05.805-07:00Happy St. Patrick's Day!<p>Hello Everyone! St. Patrick's Day is fast approaching! I have a lovely and simple card to share with you created by Chari Hogsett!</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigmYMg2_uZJQo6i6sQnFNVUv7qDpFm7vB18EUIUTmXVZpyEbYyIzC5CJ80YiwsW6vKKTC1HYBeQ-vAyi5FrW8bzsr_7SwFoOXCmT8kCJzQdn-BInNTAMMOEQ99CvRZa-PcAmEN1FDycXzk3Ywtd9oO9jMUbAbmBkY58tfebTSBbAVHfFz5abaURR7fIOQ/s4032/9AEC2B6A-818A-4A2E-BCB1-68AA9DB015D3_1_201_a.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigmYMg2_uZJQo6i6sQnFNVUv7qDpFm7vB18EUIUTmXVZpyEbYyIzC5CJ80YiwsW6vKKTC1HYBeQ-vAyi5FrW8bzsr_7SwFoOXCmT8kCJzQdn-BInNTAMMOEQ99CvRZa-PcAmEN1FDycXzk3Ywtd9oO9jMUbAbmBkY58tfebTSBbAVHfFz5abaURR7fIOQ/w400-h300/9AEC2B6A-818A-4A2E-BCB1-68AA9DB015D3_1_201_a.heic" width="400" /></a></div><br />This card features our "Happy St. Patrick's Day" Red Rubber Unmounted stamp No. J341. This sentiment is also featured in our Polymer Clear Stamp Set No. Y217 St. Patrick's Innies and Outies, even thought the sentiment is slightly smaller. The double Shamrock is from Polymer Clear Set No. Y547 Irish Blessings. <p></p><p>Chari began by adhering a piece of patterned paper to a white card. She then cut a piece of our 2" Web Ribbon in Moss Green (70198) and adhered it to the the center of the patterned paper. She stamped "Happy St. Patrick's Day with dark green ink on a scrap piece of white cardstock along with the double shamrocks and finally adhered this to a slightly larger green mat.</p><p>To finish the card, Chari adhered Happy St. Patrick's Day to the green Web Ribbon. Easy and delightful card. Thanks Chari!</p><p>Hope you enjoy this card!</p><p>Susan</p><p><br /></p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-62615625822127181832024-03-08T08:00:00.000-08:002024-03-08T15:54:32.903-08:00Our St. Patrick's Day wish for you!<p> Hello Everyone:</p><p>As St. Patrick's Day will fall on Sunday this year, I would like to share one last card with you that we just couldn't leave out!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgREUim_mal9Lke3QQejZmgB0bfE9VEO0tgG08y6dwB6-IleDO9zbD99upDzQFlAjmfqAwDcmMD_C6wqiKsG9oTpiNzLx6j6eR-pxs_o55vLSilz0GfB_Bm1RxGsoJNQaRvi5j1FtZyaFI-z6wkv65BMlDU6ehhB9o1GP3I-MpGkmRsDk2jnW8EJ2eJpZg/s4032/33EB2CB6-C7C3-41F5-9421-951F5C7BD608_1_201_a.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgREUim_mal9Lke3QQejZmgB0bfE9VEO0tgG08y6dwB6-IleDO9zbD99upDzQFlAjmfqAwDcmMD_C6wqiKsG9oTpiNzLx6j6eR-pxs_o55vLSilz0GfB_Bm1RxGsoJNQaRvi5j1FtZyaFI-z6wkv65BMlDU6ehhB9o1GP3I-MpGkmRsDk2jnW8EJ2eJpZg/w400-h300/33EB2CB6-C7C3-41F5-9421-951F5C7BD608_1_201_a.heic" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>This card was made by me using the same Triangle pattern I used on one of the last Christmas cards. Can you believe how quickly the month of February is behind us and we are on to March? I sure can't! Time to get ready for my kids' birthdays and St. Patty's Day (my son's birthday is St. Patty's Day). Here is a card designed for the occasion:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaqGg1t9Ini2ndyU0j9rSdk6ILKXxqvxKQmFnHiMVn5FY54sR9ynJ6Y0DUwODiTfzw6TTDf7_wu1yDigILY4se7pblVLmOkvrE7ls_8KzOmEqbSX-MreB2CEh9b5m65G-RiyAtBGNlfcs/s4032/38C5C790-6B40-4E07-A635-050EECF709D2.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaqGg1t9Ini2ndyU0j9rSdk6ILKXxqvxKQmFnHiMVn5FY54sR9ynJ6Y0DUwODiTfzw6TTDf7_wu1yDigILY4se7pblVLmOkvrE7ls_8KzOmEqbSX-MreB2CEh9b5m65G-RiyAtBGNlfcs/w300-h400/38C5C790-6B40-4E07-A635-050EECF709D2.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>For this card I adhered a piece of patterned paper to a white card. I then adhered a piece of 2" Web Ribbon in Lime (70183) towards the left side of the card.</p><p>I stamped various images from Creative Impressions Stamp Set M165 Lucky Green onto scrap squares of white cardstock with green ink. I blended some green ink onto the edges of the squares and adhered all of them to a darker green piece of scrap cardstock. These were then adhered with foam tape to three different areas of the card.</p><p>Finally, I threaded a piece of dark green Thin Jute Twine into the holes of a White Small Button (51000), creating a bow in the back. The button was then adhered onto the Web Ribbon in-between two of the sentiments.</p><p>Another easy and fun card. Try it!</p><p>Susan</p><p><br /></p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-64588502864765780652024-02-20T08:00:00.000-08:002024-02-20T08:00:00.246-08:00To Love and Cherish<p> Hello Everyone! If you have been following our blog the last few weeks, you will see a theme - cards made with the Bridge card pattern! They are so easy and clever and Creative Impressions has lots of perfect stamps for this technique! Here is a wedding card I recently created:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNUBndckVDHgekuRYqdnZTfa55RVb00scjQatPUdX70vKgGQXa4dPB3bv2kaITd7dVBvtIcfD5xOoIuD1629oujBAX_n15fc7Ck2kaRQ1eN1VeDhtX5Cd8kJx2pyOQuARqjpWgICkQjXzZu8p8Y5aSrpeJGYIAqjTCov5XnPFAeQLOu3VB2GaLsJ_LBtw/s4032/02B17F38-6CCB-485E-B0B6-7F9ECEC45071_1_201_a.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNUBndckVDHgekuRYqdnZTfa55RVb00scjQatPUdX70vKgGQXa4dPB3bv2kaITd7dVBvtIcfD5xOoIuD1629oujBAX_n15fc7Ck2kaRQ1eN1VeDhtX5Cd8kJx2pyOQuARqjpWgICkQjXzZu8p8Y5aSrpeJGYIAqjTCov5XnPFAeQLOu3VB2GaLsJ_LBtw/w400-h300/02B17F38-6CCB-485E-B0B6-7F9ECEC45071_1_201_a.heic" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>Following the Bridge Card pattern, I cut two pieces of #80342 To Love and Cherish Ribbon Expressions and adhered them to two strips of scrap green cardstock. Before adhering to the pattern paper on each side of the card, I adhered a Yellow Heart Brad #90394 to both strips, one at the bottom and one at the top. Then the strips were adhered to the side pieces of the card.</p><p>I added a piece of the patterned paper to the back of the card and added the sentiment from the CI Stamp set, # YCC221 Wedding Carriage Silhouette stamped in Navy Blue, inked around the edges and adhered to a slight larger green mat before adhering to the card back.</p><p>Now I stamped the horse and carriage from the same stamp set onto a piece of scrap white cardstock. I inked the carriage with Navy Blue and the horse with Brown ink and stamped. The entire piece was cut out and adhered to the card front, to which was previously adhered a piece of patterned paper.</p><p>That's it! I think this card is so cute! It reminds me of my own wedding many years ago when my husband and I had a horse and carriage take us to our reception!</p><p>Give this card technique a try!</p><p>I will be taking a week off from blogging, but I'll be back with some new and fun cards!</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan</p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-13797462538307190822024-02-13T08:00:00.000-08:002024-02-13T08:00:00.267-08:00Candy Hearts and Flowers for you!<p> Hello Everyone:</p><p>Happy almost Valentine's Day from Creative Impressions! Chari began by adhering a slightly smaller black mat to a white card. She then created two flowers by layering a large White Felt Blossom (Pastel 62201) with a Large White Sheer Blossom and holding the two blossoms together with a Metallic Red Country Heart (90331). For the second flower, Chari did the same thing, except she substituted a large sheer Magenta Sheer Blossom (60700). These blossoms were then adhered to the right side of the black mat.</p><p>The "Love Candies" from Creative Impressions Stamp Set M124 Love Candies were stamped in red onto a pink design paper strip and the strip was then adhered to the left side of the black mat. That's it! Super easy and a darling card.</p><p>Thank you, Chari, for sharing your sweet card with us!</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan</p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-81811274217978615902024-02-06T08:00:00.001-08:002024-02-06T19:34:53.263-08:00A Heart Pocket for you!<p>Hello Everyone! I found this darling heart pocket pattern awhile ago and decided to pull it out and make this fun Valentine's Card for you!</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv6RkXcoqAAxcqCHcr8HjISKk6YCqKovrMZsOhzo3TT2hRRtGKhBaNn8UNkF9zYKwUmfrXiPclgDwlX1cIhr4Hp7t9wKvJpmhXlOD0oYghatDCyxt9rqP6yTcdPTbBNfF6WgJU-kF4VeP6qtV5yd8bctY5FVE5DritXiHtkJB5TMUfgEOtk2BF_w65TAk/s4032/55133020-AA6F-4C23-B772-93DFD5CF396E.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgv6RkXcoqAAxcqCHcr8HjISKk6YCqKovrMZsOhzo3TT2hRRtGKhBaNn8UNkF9zYKwUmfrXiPclgDwlX1cIhr4Hp7t9wKvJpmhXlOD0oYghatDCyxt9rqP6yTcdPTbBNfF6WgJU-kF4VeP6qtV5yd8bctY5FVE5DritXiHtkJB5TMUfgEOtk2BF_w65TAk/w300-h400/55133020-AA6F-4C23-B772-93DFD5CF396E.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br />The pattern is so easy. It is basically four scallops together with two of them folded up to create the pocket. Once it was folded, I black embossed "Happy Valentine's Day #Y546 Be Mine Sentiments to the back of the heart.<p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE9KdJTKrLwe5ue-KhlYj1yto6zoHU3_S3SPRahW2BSsNIrjjsluWbyA7_rQ29Ut2o8thjDy9EALqWbLR_xI59d1kV_cQLbUuoDthUoROkIbuMNe_fVIlchGvWrp-yQDnBcYeZ02UQisj1zLeJcStHZxxsZDsz47eEtMCIFigW_6tkE8vQVHhl53Jd0O0/s4032/7C3CB21A-704D-411B-BD62-B80CF85E97C2.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE9KdJTKrLwe5ue-KhlYj1yto6zoHU3_S3SPRahW2BSsNIrjjsluWbyA7_rQ29Ut2o8thjDy9EALqWbLR_xI59d1kV_cQLbUuoDthUoROkIbuMNe_fVIlchGvWrp-yQDnBcYeZ02UQisj1zLeJcStHZxxsZDsz47eEtMCIFigW_6tkE8vQVHhl53Jd0O0/w300-h400/7C3CB21A-704D-411B-BD62-B80CF85E97C2.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br />To finish the pocket, I created a flower using our Iridescent and Transparent Blossom in White #61201, Medium Felt Blossom in Black #62220 and Small Felt Blossom in White # 62001 Pastel, adhering all together with a Medium Heart Brad # 90313. I poked a hole in the center of the pocket and spread out the brad prongs in the back.<p></p><p>Next step was to create a tag to go in the pocket. I cut a small tag and rounded the top to mimic the top of the heart. I stamped the cupid from the same stamp set "Be Mine Sentiments"(such a versatile set) in black onto the tag and then stamped "Be Mine" from the same set. I inked the tag edges with red ink all the way around and punched a hole in the top of the tag. I used our 1/4" Single Stitch Ribbon in Pink with Red Stitching #70913 at the top of the tag and wrapped our Black Thin Twine #80605 around the ribbon, creating a bow at the same time.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj11BEhhJ30OOC8jXYof8gK1XLCM9N5QG2Mbnm-Wbcw7xhTRWHc2-BgEirw0xify9zLUaP3Xgw0pPv0N-ceo5SZKEQjcf9MkxZk17UGtSfREXshkDumZV26zAGwtT4dgktlRXUX_iM1pMY7-vQC3Hzstz2nOMpVkYthHgh4gkhGEIA1KB6kp55Zff-1BWw/s4032/7FA09A1C-7C39-4B9B-A3F4-5216F7BC1306.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj11BEhhJ30OOC8jXYof8gK1XLCM9N5QG2Mbnm-Wbcw7xhTRWHc2-BgEirw0xify9zLUaP3Xgw0pPv0N-ceo5SZKEQjcf9MkxZk17UGtSfREXshkDumZV26zAGwtT4dgktlRXUX_iM1pMY7-vQC3Hzstz2nOMpVkYthHgh4gkhGEIA1KB6kp55Zff-1BWw/w300-h400/7FA09A1C-7C39-4B9B-A3F4-5216F7BC1306.heic" width="300" /></a></div><p>Here again is the finished card once the tag is placed inside:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisu89Nf06aDj0Bo4sMPFn0ZSDVk_-8q7HGUOiYWAeiSVkndzLJPp-JRfuiW2Q81rVvF6ijrs0gwSDe9iXffpiUj82DjK_MxL0eRNU4Vh_wHwuJ5q4rxERoYz3hTb8B5ZEw5cCE8XOx_hwgGke4-iRCIRUUq25J1siU7InpmiSvskZgBqxVdD1my6_9_mg/s4032/55133020-AA6F-4C23-B772-93DFD5CF396E.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisu89Nf06aDj0Bo4sMPFn0ZSDVk_-8q7HGUOiYWAeiSVkndzLJPp-JRfuiW2Q81rVvF6ijrs0gwSDe9iXffpiUj82DjK_MxL0eRNU4Vh_wHwuJ5q4rxERoYz3hTb8B5ZEw5cCE8XOx_hwgGke4-iRCIRUUq25J1siU7InpmiSvskZgBqxVdD1my6_9_mg/w300-h400/55133020-AA6F-4C23-B772-93DFD5CF396E.heic" width="300" /></a></div><p>You still have time to create some Valentines with Creative Impressions stamps!</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan</p><p><br /></p> <p></p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-84229009021641613022024-01-23T08:00:00.001-08:002024-01-23T08:00:00.132-08:00Hugs and Kisses<p> Hello Everyone! Today we are sending you "hugs and kisses" from Creative Impressions with this new Valentine card:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhld7WdeLdpWLvJJpvhdCJ1oApQw7-SLOphlZgO4XyOc6LnexalKc0WdA1-QClWHUlChrLV1I_-CWxF4Foo9IB68b-RY2drSG8kX4U7sVafw6L19o-eAKfhdmKqIyb6daA1jpJRBkqz_n4dbwxE5Jq3exang4_4MyNeAD3D1nGcc7xcvrIihgZR6dPWacI/s4032/1EF0C10E-E14A-467C-96CC-C02A179309E1.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhld7WdeLdpWLvJJpvhdCJ1oApQw7-SLOphlZgO4XyOc6LnexalKc0WdA1-QClWHUlChrLV1I_-CWxF4Foo9IB68b-RY2drSG8kX4U7sVafw6L19o-eAKfhdmKqIyb6daA1jpJRBkqz_n4dbwxE5Jq3exang4_4MyNeAD3D1nGcc7xcvrIihgZR6dPWacI/w300-h400/1EF0C10E-E14A-467C-96CC-C02A179309E1.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>This wonderful stamp set is from CI #M163 Love Grows. I began by Stamping the garden of hearts with dark green ink on a piece of cream cardstock. I then colored the hearts with a dark pink marker and heat embossed them with a sparkly clear embossing powder that I added by using a two-way glue pen first. I then stamped "Happy Valentine's Day" underneath the heart flowers. </p><p>To ground the "heart" flowers, I used a piece of our Mini Rick Rack in Dark Green #70754, adhering the ends around the back of the piece. I placed a piece of paper cut with an edge punch lower than the Valentine stamped piece and then placed a piece of our Ribbon Expressions Hugs and Kisses #80359. To finish I added a Black Mini Round #90102 on each end of the ribbon piece. Here is a close up of the piece.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt-iCdCFv_qeBPWTiOrR2JH7qYnpnWnEnpIHyZCb_O_sbwANx5OJSJ_EhiU3hvG4DgsXigT4pWeifsxSoa43r23yVnLThj5mcJKZx4znbq6wNcgUV9f04DvW7Uxx92kDPKz9KWkA_BfH2t7_jEhDhKf0tWkA6vn8E4tjdcQhgWrE-pDz3bvPFox2Dje_8/s4032/ED8EEAFB-BA2C-4C1F-8D38-6A31F18FD55D.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt-iCdCFv_qeBPWTiOrR2JH7qYnpnWnEnpIHyZCb_O_sbwANx5OJSJ_EhiU3hvG4DgsXigT4pWeifsxSoa43r23yVnLThj5mcJKZx4znbq6wNcgUV9f04DvW7Uxx92kDPKz9KWkA_BfH2t7_jEhDhKf0tWkA6vn8E4tjdcQhgWrE-pDz3bvPFox2Dje_8/w300-h400/ED8EEAFB-BA2C-4C1F-8D38-6A31F18FD55D.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>The entire cardstock piece was adhered to a piece of patterned paper previously adhered to a dark pink mat and finally to a cream card.</p><p>Hope you will try and make this card yourself. We hope you have been having a good January. My husband's birthday is today and so I have decided to share a fun card with you. I'm sorry to say I don't know who created this card. If it's you, please let me know!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5c_7WsadxZD9gD88PABahAswQmFMRMS54OeYcW4KqCVFUIrw9tT39HKkTYrbUj87ciObc6ZqSyN6y6zYyVtrDa1ddFKJzoaIVypa_E5I0wT75CJiQzWbTTtmtTjT-QWKkU7Qt3Zg3PQh5vutnjSDUdAuKgx9gBu9kT4QtBVm3M-Aw_HqkgBZsww9TWkg/s4032/AF8A344D-98B8-4228-A55C-95854C12EDE8.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5c_7WsadxZD9gD88PABahAswQmFMRMS54OeYcW4KqCVFUIrw9tT39HKkTYrbUj87ciObc6ZqSyN6y6zYyVtrDa1ddFKJzoaIVypa_E5I0wT75CJiQzWbTTtmtTjT-QWKkU7Qt3Zg3PQh5vutnjSDUdAuKgx9gBu9kT4QtBVm3M-Aw_HqkgBZsww9TWkg/s320/AF8A344D-98B8-4228-A55C-95854C12EDE8.heic" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p>Here is the card opened:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYTaF9Yb86lggx55pTxWKcwt4Z9rXwQ3cbI5nYbUb5x61Gmwds61rg-Oi7SxAuX7XfDHIhAZJmHGZIpNaiD0GiyqpLWatmYjrM5Pk8QDXJLQcE-0vsPeg7ZpoRJj5BSX-FYG4M5MU6WGYne6D0ggV-7GaIXz600CYB7BgaN4ARAd9bLlrFf3Q0UQfhA10/s4032/DDDC1F99-0BC5-40E5-93DF-E3273D9631ED_1_201_a.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYTaF9Yb86lggx55pTxWKcwt4Z9rXwQ3cbI5nYbUb5x61Gmwds61rg-Oi7SxAuX7XfDHIhAZJmHGZIpNaiD0GiyqpLWatmYjrM5Pk8QDXJLQcE-0vsPeg7ZpoRJj5BSX-FYG4M5MU6WGYne6D0ggV-7GaIXz600CYB7BgaN4ARAd9bLlrFf3Q0UQfhA10/w300-h400/DDDC1F99-0BC5-40E5-93DF-E3273D9631ED_1_201_a.heic" width="300" /></a></div><p>I think my hubby would get a kick out of this card! The card was folded and set aside. On a separate piece of white cardstock, the sentiment (#S113) was stamped in black with the card in a diamond orientation. It was then adhered to a piece of patterned paper and then to the diamond folded part of the card,</p><p>The bottom of this particular card has another diamond oriented square. Another piece of white cardstock scrap was cut to fit the top of the "diamond" and "Happy Birthday to You" from #M128 Birthday Circles. This was matted to a slightly larger "triangle" and adhered to the diamond oriented square. For the second half of the diamond, another piece of patterned paper was cut to fit and this piece was adhered to the bottom half. To finish this part of the card, a piece of our Over The Hill Ribbon Expression #80365 ribbon was adhered to the center of the square and knotted at each end slightly over the edges of the card.</p><p>Now there are 4 triangles in the center of the card. Patterned paper was cut to fit each one and then birthday hats were stamped in each one. The birthday hat is from the same Birthday Circles set. </p><p>I'm sure I could find a similar pattern for this card on the internet. However, these sentiments and images would be darling on any card you make. Give it a try! Oh, and Happy Birthday to my hubby!</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan . </p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-58103054852896379702024-01-09T08:00:00.000-08:002024-01-09T12:10:34.529-08:00A Masculine Birthday Card<p> Hello Everyone! I imagine you all are looking ahead to Valentine's Day and getting your cards made, however, there are lots of people also celebrating birthdays! My hubby has one coming up in a week! So...in honor of all those men having birthdays, I have created this card:</p><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_-M_bivo4QVfl6L04rbT4LuX3jGNmdj-H43MRIID2aRytoU6nob_joo602h1jqkqa2Y06JHn85xC-O_0RHmYh9xEML60EBNSgdaibnH90uXa8cvLFnk-sM7SVGpf0hknLk20oLlVJSYS_AVtthENBCFJ6NPMabQs8mYw8Q-RhjWUjiZP_Sbuh9BeJrlg/s4032/1DE4233E-492F-478D-B2DD-D49E1C502B21.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_-M_bivo4QVfl6L04rbT4LuX3jGNmdj-H43MRIID2aRytoU6nob_joo602h1jqkqa2Y06JHn85xC-O_0RHmYh9xEML60EBNSgdaibnH90uXa8cvLFnk-sM7SVGpf0hknLk20oLlVJSYS_AVtthENBCFJ6NPMabQs8mYw8Q-RhjWUjiZP_Sbuh9BeJrlg/w400-h300/1DE4233E-492F-478D-B2DD-D49E1C502B21.heic" width="400" /></a> </div><div><br /></div>You may have noticed that this card is very similar to the 'O Christmas Tree Bridge card that I did for the Holidays. Indeed it is! I just loved the pattern and couldn't stop coming up with ideas! I will have a few more to share with you as well at a later date.<div><br /></div><div>I used white cardstock to create the base of the card. Once the bridge card was folded according to the instructions, I cut striped paper to fit the sides and back and tan paper to fit the front. Before adhering the striped paper for the sides of the card, I adhered a Black Antique round #Antique Rounds 84454 to the top of the each strip using a Copper Mini Round from #95557 Antique Assorted Mini Rounds. I then added a length of 1/4" Single Stitch Grosgrain #70924 Black with Cream Stitching from the bottom of the card to the Antique Round. I folded back the grosgrain and attached it to itself with another copper mini round.</div><div>Then I adhered the paper strips to the sides of the card.</div><div><br /></div><div>To the bottom strip of the card I added a piece of our Twill Expressions ##80484 Tire Tracks. I stamped the vintage car from Creative Impressions Stamp Set #YCC227 Classic Car Silhouette onto a piece of white cardstock, using a stamp positioner. I inked up the stamp multiple times with black ink to get such a wonderful clear impression. The car was cut out and adhered to the bottom of the card over the tire tracks. Here is the set I used.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhicwg-qETCQVjKd8IhjkR85sEE26n5yY6So-JajlKuXRzBMkK_IY16MpTU12w07IBrCZyW1NLAtBQNjvuVCfkrjPNVqhRMiGZeWWsp8zTtDUPFc7KPPoAD17S_g0oun4kECvQ15h5BC4n5hOpSwk-Dz-Vorp_q_hNDgmsiYZTE8_Ro6Cpz8BAPzGDEfQI/s4032/383E0B21-DE75-42AA-9631-7AB2405A74C8.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhicwg-qETCQVjKd8IhjkR85sEE26n5yY6So-JajlKuXRzBMkK_IY16MpTU12w07IBrCZyW1NLAtBQNjvuVCfkrjPNVqhRMiGZeWWsp8zTtDUPFc7KPPoAD17S_g0oun4kECvQ15h5BC4n5hOpSwk-Dz-Vorp_q_hNDgmsiYZTE8_Ro6Cpz8BAPzGDEfQI/w300-h400/383E0B21-DE75-42AA-9631-7AB2405A74C8.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div>To finish the card, I stamped "You're not old, You're a Classic" from the same stamp set onto a piece of white scrap. I cut a black mat slightly larger, adhered it to the sentiment piece and finished by adding a copper mini round to each of the four corners of the sentiment. This piece was then adhered to the back of the card using foam tape.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is a simple card to make, doesn't take much time and is looks impressive. This stamp set is so versatile as it works for birthdays and Father's Day. </div><div><br /></div><div>Enjoy making your own!</div><div>Susan</div><div><br /></div><div><br /><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p></div></div>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-77799737564515369012024-01-02T08:00:00.000-08:002024-01-02T08:00:00.252-08:00Love Songs!<p>Happy New Year Everyone! We hope you have had a lovely holiday and that you are ready now to get back into crafting! Here is a card I featured 2 years ago that should get you going on Valentine cards:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp6Q5VGUs-fSlW6LLKyA1qa0z4DV4AbBaFIHk0J4VOxRRnGvuA2T64U_HTSr1L3zvyvsL9UtwTqG6vDfMvluITBWHGdQXdksyoYqyC9XFESq4JtLmwNJ8NQKAT4BR1vNkItpQNV2qXUxmGhKGUD3X35f2ddFErCbOUxg78A9_QRFWdWMEUFqSIFWAQyGg/s4032/2E6F1783-7087-4049-866E-455960889314.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp6Q5VGUs-fSlW6LLKyA1qa0z4DV4AbBaFIHk0J4VOxRRnGvuA2T64U_HTSr1L3zvyvsL9UtwTqG6vDfMvluITBWHGdQXdksyoYqyC9XFESq4JtLmwNJ8NQKAT4BR1vNkItpQNV2qXUxmGhKGUD3X35f2ddFErCbOUxg78A9_QRFWdWMEUFqSIFWAQyGg/w300-h400/2E6F1783-7087-4049-866E-455960889314.heic" width="300" /></a></div><div><br /></div>I looked up different piano style cards on the internet and came up with this. It really wasn't hard, just curving the top of the card and making "keys" that are curved at the ends. To cover the raw edges, I used a piece of our Red 3/8th inch Velvet Shimmer Ribbon #70970 across the card. I then adhered our Felt "Love" from our Hearts Collection #63130 above the keys and then a music note from our Shimmer Shapes Collection #63200 with a Red Medium heart brad # 90313 in the center,.<div><br /></div><div>To finish the card, I used Creative Impressions Polymer stamp set #Y226 Love Cards Innies and Outies and stamped the lovely sentiment on the inside of the card:</div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8K_rUQjNM-20eUk6StQRLs-U5rt6iwAxLFig3W-hjm_aAacrjQxIDCi-8ChudCxdc-su92WYEFJnsjxIe84tv3xUov2k_YZj0_xWlfBNsb3vWz9Gwy7yqBWGSGTJ2m9unoqVDvZHah3XmV8ser0C23CoOlBNjYnkMk4Z6vy-2FS8hTuRN4ts7-ufaEDU/s4032/B8875100-70D0-4CD0-AF3E-801883C323FA.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8K_rUQjNM-20eUk6StQRLs-U5rt6iwAxLFig3W-hjm_aAacrjQxIDCi-8ChudCxdc-su92WYEFJnsjxIe84tv3xUov2k_YZj0_xWlfBNsb3vWz9Gwy7yqBWGSGTJ2m9unoqVDvZHah3XmV8ser0C23CoOlBNjYnkMk4Z6vy-2FS8hTuRN4ts7-ufaEDU/w300-h400/B8875100-70D0-4CD0-AF3E-801883C323FA.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>I added one more music note from our Shimmer Shapes Music Notes Collection and the card was done.</p><p>I think this card would be great for a wedding card as well. Time is flying! So, for all our wonderful customers and friends, we are sharing one last card with you until the New Year!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOxLcOgJoSBj1rPaAunBXF2zvofmzANy-obovS4LyN2Hh01FYB8tkuwXJqS9Q2JGJwnl1ke5q2dC7BXWLVM4fKrkb4adMPPpYuj8MJXANzmI0V5EPRwDAruqWs9zRaLeuHbQKP8BlGxYtGAlepbpt6QPl_dQuLMPKupCxJP9nW0dEhRvZzFKlI1g8bp_M/s4032/688C2021-887C-432D-A15C-E318793AAFA4.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOxLcOgJoSBj1rPaAunBXF2zvofmzANy-obovS4LyN2Hh01FYB8tkuwXJqS9Q2JGJwnl1ke5q2dC7BXWLVM4fKrkb4adMPPpYuj8MJXANzmI0V5EPRwDAruqWs9zRaLeuHbQKP8BlGxYtGAlepbpt6QPl_dQuLMPKupCxJP9nW0dEhRvZzFKlI1g8bp_M/w400-h300/688C2021-887C-432D-A15C-E318793AAFA4.heic" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>This card is called a "Bridge Card". You can find multiple tutorials online so that you can create your own Bridge card.</p><p>For my card, I followed the directions for cutting the red cardstock and scored on the lines indicated. Once the card was folded, I adhered patterned paper to the back, side edges and bottom of the card. Before adhering the bottom piece, I wrapped it with our "Oh Christmas Tree" Ribbon Expression (80332) and then adhered the entire piece to the bottom of the card.</p><p>I stamped O Christmas Tree (S189) onto a piece of light green paper with dark green ink, cut it out and then adhered it to a slightly larger piece of dark green cardstock. This was then trimmed slightly larger than the tree. To finish the tree, I added some of our Mini Brads in Red, Green and White (Primary Mini Round Assortment 90190) to serve as ornaments on the tree. Finally I added a Gold Star Brad (91002) to the top of the tree. I then set the tree aside.</p><p>I stamped "Happy Holidays" from our Y494 Happy Hollidays set on a piece of scrap white cardstock with dark green ink and adhered it to a slight larger piece of red cardstock. Before adhering this piece to the card back, I adhered four of the brads, one on each corner, to the card back.</p><p>All that was left to do was to adhere two Metallic Green Trees (90641) to the paper strips on either side of the card. This may be done before adhering the paper to the card or afterwards if you don't mind the brad prongs showing in the back.</p><p>Lastly, I adhered the tree to the right side of the card and the card was finished! Hope you like it. It really was super easy to make!</p><p>Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone from Creative Impressions!</p><p>Janet, Susan, Candie and Jo</p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-74568412048843246582023-12-06T08:00:00.000-08:002023-12-06T17:52:57.861-08:00Origami Christmas Poinsettia Card<p> Hello Everyone: Here's a different Christmas card that's easy to make!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHnxs6HBrZZ3jKv2ybY_kOpPgvu_0uygRjIUOHliEldx7s82oqyciq261FFVUJK4S3TAlFciwZjZcQUZs_x_W2H681rnnDW6Xb1v-bAW3B3INqvu2gtmy98pEfzBbKugFBJG0qFmQEoEcWXDs5UsNS6cPxck1sp99l6gKf9pAH3_jEIW0xsvNHOPRrDPU/s4032/A65CEE35-A483-4552-8A84-4E7F9917858A.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHnxs6HBrZZ3jKv2ybY_kOpPgvu_0uygRjIUOHliEldx7s82oqyciq261FFVUJK4S3TAlFciwZjZcQUZs_x_W2H681rnnDW6Xb1v-bAW3B3INqvu2gtmy98pEfzBbKugFBJG0qFmQEoEcWXDs5UsNS6cPxck1sp99l6gKf9pAH3_jEIW0xsvNHOPRrDPU/w300-h400/A65CEE35-A483-4552-8A84-4E7F9917858A.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>And yes, we love easy at Creative Impressions! I made lots of this card for my Christmas card this year. Easy to make in an assembly line!</p><p>To make the origami square, you will need a 4" square of double sided patterned paper. Just fold the square in half diagonally, open it up, fold the opposite direction diagonally, open it up, fold each corner to the center where the diagonals meet and then fold each edge to the outside. I finished this square by adding a felt "Poinsettia" ( Med Heritage Felt Blossom 62102) with green Felt Leaves ( Heritage 62002)_ attached together with a Yellow Mini Round ( 90112 ). I poked a hole in the center of the square and threaded the flower through. To finish, I cut a square of green cardstock 3" and glued the origami piece to the green square</p><p>All that was left to do was add a Holiday sentiment to the card and a double bow with Green and Burgundy (80601 and 80600) Thin Twine. Ready to send and took minimal time to make!</p><p>Hope you will try this fun technique.</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan</p><p><br /></p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-39101422450412414692023-11-28T08:00:00.000-08:002023-11-28T08:00:00.141-08:00Christmas Joy<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><br />Hello Everyone: Hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to the rest of the Holidays. Cut the tree out and back it with a red cardstock mat cut slightly larger. </p><p>Adhere the tree to a piece of patterned paper which has been backed by a green cardstock mat. Create a piece to go in the center of the tree by using our Felt Joy from our Christmas set #63120 to which has been added a Medium White Felt Snowflake (Felt Snowflake #63000) with a Winter Glimmer Round Paper Fastener (#90904). Adhere this to the tree by poking a hole in the center of the snowflake and threading the brad prongs to the back of the piece. Then you will add a Gold Metallic 3-D Star (95549) to the top of the tree.</p><p>To a white card, create a slightly smaller green mat and then a red mat and adhere to the white card. Can't believe we are almost ready to celebrate Thanksgiving! Today I would like to share with you a fun and easy Pocket Card:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpsVdlN4hJxCIDLY-v2DqWTBjzsFzUIhwv2L7SuNtGCYXhhd41Rg-A-Wh2voRyUMU6ZYfrbDnzBoog1HnL4UzdaUdOYtmh5g5zU2SnlMj9BXi8Ug5D7CKQegrpAQzNN9gVASIAsPZGdP1gLqFCVzEyQS_CaKgO29FpYMdwBH07YakjC16zj3LytWDJoE8/s4032/BEC1D16F-3394-4CF1-B4EA-AB4C65A115B0.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpsVdlN4hJxCIDLY-v2DqWTBjzsFzUIhwv2L7SuNtGCYXhhd41Rg-A-Wh2voRyUMU6ZYfrbDnzBoog1HnL4UzdaUdOYtmh5g5zU2SnlMj9BXi8Ug5D7CKQegrpAQzNN9gVASIAsPZGdP1gLqFCVzEyQS_CaKgO29FpYMdwBH07YakjC16zj3LytWDJoE8/w300-h400/BEC1D16F-3394-4CF1-B4EA-AB4C65A115B0.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>I designed this card for Thanksgiving, however, it can be used for just about any occasion! I found the instructions on the internet - easy to find and easy to make!</p><p>I began by creating my pocket using 6x12 double sided design paper. Once this was done I added Creative Impressions Single Stitched ribbon in Brown with Black Stitching (70925) to either side of the triangular opening. Then I wrapped a piece of our Grid Ribbon in Brown (70283) -my favorite- around the pocket and tied it off in the center where the Single Stitch Ribbon joins. To finish that part I added a Maple Leaf Brad (Antique Maple Leaf Assort 95552).</p><p>I then added our Felt Shapes (63100 Autumn Leaves, 63110 Halloween and Sm. Felt Blossom (62002 Heritage) along with a bow made from our Thin Jute Twine (80612 Green Apple) towards the bottom of my pocket.</p><p>This is what the finished pocket looks like without the inside card:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-kS6SLG4LQ_20noPWUVC9y1gwkyclVXijVJdkRhyphenhyphenK-oaqrTADX-qxgcsYtCuZ3QMvxM44d7K9GPtbzMz81Y3JWaym7ovbOR2SXhnyjf0YiIwRP0IMUPQ0TH-Zf2x421h_et-2TEY-qwdLXw9h5cl74XOJ-VraPLAwKO91mFhZPt0DWRedQ3_pk_a2IJ4/s4032/2BD9B6CA-F261-47CC-B34E-CD61471ED81E.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-kS6SLG4LQ_20noPWUVC9y1gwkyclVXijVJdkRhyphenhyphenK-oaqrTADX-qxgcsYtCuZ3QMvxM44d7K9GPtbzMz81Y3JWaym7ovbOR2SXhnyjf0YiIwRP0IMUPQ0TH-Zf2x421h_et-2TEY-qwdLXw9h5cl74XOJ-VraPLAwKO91mFhZPt0DWRedQ3_pk_a2IJ4/w300-h400/2BD9B6CA-F261-47CC-B34E-CD61471ED81E.heic" width="300" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The inside card is very simple. I used Creative Impressions stamp #J366 Thanksgiving Wishes and stamped the sentiment with Sepia Brown ink onto a piece of white cardstock that was backed with a tan mat. All that's left is to place the card inside the pocket and you have a fun and creative card. Today I am featuring a card with one of my favorite stamps. What looks to be just a Thanksgiving stamp actually works as a year-round stamp to remind us to be give thanks always:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1eRdfiVQtb9avSgHhOmFGGEw5hLLwOYp9Vk4lrmwKDTZBZ9nLBgXcGjghf_saOntmtkhB3vfa4q1NSNxc9phjbB-0VXXQHhEkUwE2l8eK6cNYisc21ncvMK6rLNOvjtMwIhzQ7fSS9f6JZH1r9na998o6jO8Ewb23C2itx_mq7JJcowYj_W_ByQpLcV44/s4032/C96477BD-C706-443B-8319-5EE09D927614.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1eRdfiVQtb9avSgHhOmFGGEw5hLLwOYp9Vk4lrmwKDTZBZ9nLBgXcGjghf_saOntmtkhB3vfa4q1NSNxc9phjbB-0VXXQHhEkUwE2l8eK6cNYisc21ncvMK6rLNOvjtMwIhzQ7fSS9f6JZH1r9na998o6jO8Ewb23C2itx_mq7JJcowYj_W_ByQpLcV44/w300-h400/C96477BD-C706-443B-8319-5EE09D927614.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>This card features not only Creative Impressions' stamp Give Thanks ( N071 ) but also our Cork Paper (89000) which gives this piece a lot of dimension as well as our Leaf Felt Shapes (63100 Autumn Leaves) which are definitely my "go-to" for Fall cards. They are so beautiful and add a wonderful dimension to any card - no die cutting necessary! </p><p>I began by adhering a piece of patterned paper to a burgandy card mat which was then adhered to a cream card. I cut a strip of burgundy cardstock and adhered a hand torn piece of our Cork Paper over the top. This piece was attached to the center of the card.</p><p>I stamped "Give Thanks "with dark green ink onto a natural piece of cardstock and used a circle die cut (you can use a punch too) to cut out the sentiment. I then cut a mat for it using another piece of burgundy and adhered them together. I laid the sentiment circle towards the center of the card and positioned several Felt Leaves in different colors under the circle. I removed the circle and added some liquid glue to adhere the leaves underneath. Once I was happy with the placement, I added some of our Thin Jute Twine in Rust ( 80608) and glued it underneath as well before then adding the circle sentiment and adhering it on top of the leaves and twine.</p><p>Finally I added a bit of Liquid Pearls to the "berries" on the sentiment. That's it! Easy and lovely card suitable to send to anyone.</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan</p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-32997112803769040192023-10-31T08:00:00.002-07:002023-10-31T08:00:00.141-07:00Happy Halloween!<p>Happy Halloween Everyone! She used deckle edge scissors to cut out the image and set it aside. She then adhered a piece of plaid patterned paper to a black mat, then an orange mat and finally to a white card. An owl was stamped in one of the plaid squares along with "Booooo" from Creative Impressions set # Y499 Halloween Haunting. . <p></p><p>Once the mats were adhered, a piece of Orange/Black Double Stitched Ribbon (70960) was stretched between two Metal Loop Black Rounds (84455) that were attached to the base of the patterned paper piece using Orange Mini Rounds (90198) punched through the center of Mini Tropical Orange Spiral Clips (85007) .</p><p>The previously stamped sentiment was then adhered to the card on an angle and the card was done!</p><p>I think this sentiment is appropriate for tonight, so "Eat, Drink and be Scary" and have fun! Set aside.</p><p>A patterned paper piece was adhered to a lime green mat, then to an orange mat and finally to a white card. I began by wrapping a piece of our Swirl Organdy Ribbon #70322 Dark Green with Dark Green, around a piece of patterned paper cut slightly smaller than a black card and then adhering the patterned paper piece to a black card.</p><p>I then cut a retangular black cardstock mat and adhered a piece of Orange 2" Web Ribbon #70181 over the top. A Ghost and "Boo" from #63110 Halloween Felt Shapes were then added over the top of the Web Ribbon. This piece was adhered to the left side of the card.</p><p>The sentiment from Creative Impressions Stamp # J361 was stamped on a scrap piece of white cardstock and orange ink was blended around the edges. A slightly larger black mat was then added and the piece was adhered to the bottom right of the card.</p><p>Finally A piece of scrap yellow card was placed behind the Felt Jack'O'Lantern shape, followed by a black cardstock mat. The Jack"O'Lantern was placed on top of the sentiment and the piece was complete! Another cute and easy card to make!</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>I will be taking a week off from blogging this coming week. I'll look forward to sharing all these wonderful cards again the following week!</p><p>Susan</p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-50311531658581325902023-10-03T08:00:00.038-07:002023-10-03T08:00:00.155-07:00A "Batty" Halloween Card!<p> Hello Everyone! I confess that I am not a fan of the gory things I see at Halloween, only the cute things. I love making cute cards that put a smile on peoples' faces instead of scaring them! Here is a super easy card to make sure to put that smile on someone's face!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGqI0aa6cJcnUx0dXNOSBKcf_VXnPrYE9vZU0fNnzmq0ASaFbdcz4hWzENyltOduKOzvFOh44CM64F601GWfQaMk-z7lNM9D8V19IN9fWl8XnYk0TzslYi9hKSK1Cj6q0UPaDNzwpGbkWsTLQtXZS3xz3B2XobCOse2mhVSxwHS6DGQdu_9TNH4U-LeJY/s4032/8122B710-E723-4E52-BB6D-09D88506942A.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGqI0aa6cJcnUx0dXNOSBKcf_VXnPrYE9vZU0fNnzmq0ASaFbdcz4hWzENyltOduKOzvFOh44CM64F601GWfQaMk-z7lNM9D8V19IN9fWl8XnYk0TzslYi9hKSK1Cj6q0UPaDNzwpGbkWsTLQtXZS3xz3B2XobCOse2mhVSxwHS6DGQdu_9TNH4U-LeJY/w300-h400/8122B710-E723-4E52-BB6D-09D88506942A.heic" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>I started with a folded A2 standard card and adhered a slightly smaller patterned paper mat onto the card. Then I cut another mat in purple slightly smaller still. I die cut a circle into the purple mat (You could use a punch if you don't have a die) and placed a piece of Yellow 2" Web Ribbon behind the "moon" for added texture. </p><p>I stamped the Happy Halloween Sentiment #Q230 on a piece of scrap white cardstock , trimmed it down and blended orange ink around the edges. I then adhered the sentiment to a black mat and finally to a patterned paper mat. The entire sentiment piece was then placed toward the bottom of the card. (Note: This stamp is an "Innie and Outie" so it has two sentiments which makes it more versatile).</p><p>Finally, three Felt Bats from our Halloween Felt Shapes #63110 were adhered to the card. I couldn't resist giving the bats some "googly eyes" to make them look silly. So easy using our felt shapes. No die cutting involved and super easy to put together! You can make lots of these cards in just one day!</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Susan</p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-28722112096393593062023-09-26T08:00:00.001-07:002023-09-26T08:00:00.142-07:00Fun with Metal Embellishments<p> Hello Everyone: Today I have a very different and interesting card made with metal embellishments. Love it!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLzZYc8673YNQrzjD8Gr5i6dsmFaCbyCW2N_KyJu6f1lvntbR7Q52NxQjWh-kgofOoWdncV5eVj7GnQYTZszFSUSy_1zGaxaK8sEy9Nl7QNFDUEglDUbjJubaBEZ3hqwYk3UzUr1AA8f5Orv0B0Rs3V3Gi9FdJcVdPM4ZD23Gm6ermjr56pFWPJRFI-tk/s4032/E35A9EAE-4EB6-4D61-BF8E-F6B49FC19F7E_1_201_a.heic" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLzZYc8673YNQrzjD8Gr5i6dsmFaCbyCW2N_KyJu6f1lvntbR7Q52NxQjWh-kgofOoWdncV5eVj7GnQYTZszFSUSy_1zGaxaK8sEy9Nl7QNFDUEglDUbjJubaBEZ3hqwYk3UzUr1AA8f5Orv0B0Rs3V3Gi9FdJcVdPM4ZD23Gm6ermjr56pFWPJRFI-tk/w400-h300/E35A9EAE-4EB6-4D61-BF8E-F6B49FC19F7E_1_201_a.heic" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>I apologize that I don't know the author of this card. It was in the Creative Impressions "vault" when it was discovered and we just loved it for its creativity.</p><p>Three metal tags ( 1 1/2" 84591) were used for this card. They were run through an embossing folder which really gave them some depth and interest. Some Small felt Heritage Blossoms (62002) were added to the tag as well as Creative Impressions Felt Leaf (62002). They were then set aside. </p><p>The card was so easy to finish as all that was left to do was run a piece of beautiful 1 1/2" Crepe Ribbon (70168 Olive) across the front of a folded A2 card. Then a length of our Twill Expressions Ribbon (80435 Live Long, Laugh Often and Love Much) was adhered over the top of the ribbon. All that was left to do was adhere the previously embossed tags onto the card slightly over the ribbon and above the printed words. So clever!</p><p>Hope you have enjoyed this card!</p><p>Susan </p>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7215773994021085712.post-76353919148575693962023-09-19T08:00:00.005-07:002023-09-19T08:00:00.166-07:00Lovely Fall Thank You!<p> Hello Everyone:</p><p>Here is a simple and lovely Fall thank you that I would like to share with you.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtnz7w6twzXpejk7vfDq7GbKbJc_XDgDkPlGlhf32hXm5JFYywmA5baBj40d3k__SAkbyUiHvaKGA_Y4ixZY-tkq0q018Vw6xme4aN49mC9YkFQooeLVLcAALgi5lWxrJHzcGh6xXFMatqJATUYbPVAHbOfYSF6_0LEv_4r5X9IGQcZVMRR9--qS2rJv4/s4032/59841188-381A-4C2F-8394-C50AECD77858_1_201_a.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtnz7w6twzXpejk7vfDq7GbKbJc_XDgDkPlGlhf32hXm5JFYywmA5baBj40d3k__SAkbyUiHvaKGA_Y4ixZY-tkq0q018Vw6xme4aN49mC9YkFQooeLVLcAALgi5lWxrJHzcGh6xXFMatqJATUYbPVAHbOfYSF6_0LEv_4r5X9IGQcZVMRR9--qS2rJv4/w400-h300/59841188-381A-4C2F-8394-C50AECD77858_1_201_a.heic" width="400" /></a></div><div><br /></div>A beautiful panel was created by using a rust color panel and embossing it with an embossing folder. Some of our 2" Yellow Web Ribbon ( 70182) was also placed in three different areas. Strips of our Cork Paper (89000) were then adhered over the top of the glitter paper, leaving a slight gap between the strips. What a fabulous way to use up leftover pieces of cork paper! Nothing goes to waste! </div><div><br /></div><div>Our Printed Bee Ribbon (70443) was adhered in several places over th cork and wrapped around to the back of the panel. Then pieces of our Black Leafy Vine (70223) were added to the composition. All that was left to do was to add Black and Yellow Felt Blossoms in different sizes (62003, 62103 and 62002) that were attached together using our Tropical Mini Rounds (90194). The sentiment "Bee Joyful" was stamped with black into onto a scrap of yellow cardstock, trimmed and adhered to a black mat. The sentiment (E165) was adhered towards the top of the card and "voila", you have a unique and interesting card.</div><div><br /></div><div>Now it's your turn!</div><div>Happy crafting!</div><div>Susan</div><div><p><br /></p></div>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00180729283344492192noreply@blogger.com0
