Warm Winter Wishes

Winter Greetings!  I know some of you are already tired of Winter and others don't know what a real Winter is, however, it will be a little while before Spring is here in Colorado and other parts of the Country, so why don't we "Celebrate the Season" and create some Winter greeting cards?  As I look out at our beautiful snow-covered mountains here in Colorado, I can't help but appreciate the beauty of snow.  Here are several cards using Creative Impressions Snowflakes and  "Celebrate the Season" Ribbon I created to celebrate Winter:

Here are some details for the first of the two cards:

I used a circle die in two different sizes to create three 'holes" in a Snowflake patterned paper panel.  I adhered the panel to a white card and then chose different Winter Snowflakes (Shimmer and Felt)  and a Winter Glimmer brad (90904) to make three beautiful 3-D snowflakes in two different sizes.  At this point the snowflakes can either be attached to the center of each circle with the brad used to attach the snowflakes (Note:  you will have to cut another white panel to fit the inside front of the card to cover the prongs if you do it this way) or you can bend the prongs to the back of the snowflake and glue the snowflakes to the white centers with strong glue.

To finish the card, wrap some "Celebrate the Season" Ribbon (80337) around the left side of the card front and tie a knot.  Trim the ends.

The second card is very similar with a different look to it.  (Oops!  Sorry it is sideways).

This time I created three snowflakes and glued them directed to a snowflake patterned paper panel.  I stamped "Let it Snow" above the snowflakes and, just like that, the card was complete!  So easy!

I hope all of you have the opportunity to enjoy this season!  Hopefully you won't get so much snow that you are "socked" in!

Susan
